Beluga Rox is recruiting an experienced and compassionate Care Assessor to join our client’s team in Blackpool.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help ensure people receive safe, responsive and truly person-centred care. You will work closely with clients, families, care teams and healthcare professionals, making a meaningful difference to the quality and consistency of the support provided.
The Role
As a Care Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing clients’ care needs, developing tailored care plans and regularly reviewing the support they receive.
You will play an important part in ensuring care is delivered safely, professionally and in line with each person’s preferences, routines and desired outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Completing assessments for new clients
- Carrying out regular care reviews and responding to changing needs
- Creating and updating detailed, person-centred care plans
- Maintaining accurate records using digital care management systems
- Supporting care staff with guidance and client-specific information
- Building positive relationships with clients and their families
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and other external agencies
- Helping to maintain high standards of care, compliance and service delivery
- Participating in the on-call rota
- Providing emergency care support when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, organised and confident working with a wide range of people.
You will need:
- An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or above
- Experience within domiciliary, community or complex care
- Previous experience completing assessments, reviews or care plans
- A strong understanding of person-centred care
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Confidence using digital systems and general IT packages
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A calm, professional and solutions-focused approach
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
